Historical Reference

The first festival was held on May 24-26, 2006 at the Sports Palace named after Ivan Yarygin. More than 200 groups of participants, pupils and students sent more than 650 works for the Festival competition.

The main prizes for winners were a camera, a laptop and a color printer.

The first Festival “ABC modernity” collection (the best 248 photos and 57 video works) received a diploma at the creative youth festival in Romania (MitOst, 2006). It became the basic collection for mobile exhibitions in the Krasnoyarsk Territory with the support of Federal National Cultural Autonomy of Russian Germans.

 

The second “Tvori-Gora” Festival became an interesting event for International Documentary Association, IDA (France, Luce). So in April, 2007, a cinematic seminar was held in Krasnoyarsk with the participation of Hélène Chatelain and some other masters of the world documentary.

The “Suveniry” –“Souvenirs” project based on the Festival works collection had got a municipal support devoted to 380- years’ anniversary of Krasnoyarsk.

A number of nominations for the second Festival were established by the Festival partner organizations.

The Third “Tvori-Gora” Festival, 2007, got full houses. The demonstrations took place in the crowded halls of the Cinema House.  Our experts were the organizers of the Kansk International Video Festival:  Andrey Silvestrov, Pavel Labazov, and Nadezhda Bakuradze. Round tables and debates were hold with the expert’s participation, and the events had great demand. The total prize fund comes to 1.5 million rubles. The events were held at the Krasnoyarsk Cultural-Historical Museum Complex, the Cinema House and the “Radiotechnik” Center. Some public organizations took active participation in the organization and conduct of the festival. Those were: “Otkrytye serdtsa” – “Open Hearts”, organization of parents to support children with special developmental needs, an informal association of Krasnoyarsk musicians, documentary cinematographers and professional photographers, the Union of Photographers of Russia.

Many creative groups and teams came to the Festival from Novosibirsk, Abakan, Tomsk, Omsk, Chelyabinsk and 40 districts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Each participant was presented by a large “Tvori-Gora” spice-cake issued by LLC “Conteh.”

 

The Forth Festival was held on 23-25 September 2011. That time the Festival expanded its geography becoming more interesting and more creative, it got its main idea – message, and a great entertainment program for the participants were presented.

The topic “Walking together with the city objects. Personal history» proposed to participants to think or dream about what our life stories are developed of. That was the motto of the Festival for all three days. It turned Krasnoyarsk into the place where miracles happened everywhere. People on the street could see walking mimes, in shuttle buses amateur musicians sang songs familiar to all passenger and every citizen going through the center of the city, could get on shooting of a historical film or to a Street Muppets performance

 

More than three hundred art-works from eight countries were submitted in the festival and more than thirty festival events were conducted. There were workshops, BRIF-contests, art-work presentations and different street performances.

 

The Fifth Festival was held on 14-16 September 2012. The theme of the festival was “Reservation of legends: city, wonders, revelations, and people.”  This theme suggested the Festival participants and guests could look closely at a city details, people, old stories and legends to express new thoughts in art-works. These might become new opportunities for improving understanding of your habitat. Also it might be some unique life stories with funny situations, great joy and achievements. If to see and rethink some new unnoticed details you could become an ideologist, a viewer or a participant of the events. Festival deepened its education program, while strengthening the rank of the most creative youth event of the year.

 

The Festival participants could try  samples of suitable mustache to wear and see the monument to the giant carrot  They could attend master classes on directing in animation by Natalia Berezovaya, “Pilot” studio), reportage portrait by Efim Shevchenko, a photographer from St. Petersburg, cinematography by Andrew Kavun, the director of the film “Piranha” and “Kandahar”. The Fifth Festival collected more than 650 video and animation projects and more than 300 photographs. So it has become the record event.

 

The sixth festival was held on 14-16 September 2013. This time the organizers gave greatest emphasis to the educational possibilities. Every participant of our Festival could get feedback from Krasnoyarsk experts on their work.

Every day some intensive training workshops were conducted: on the short films directing by Alexander Kott (“Brest Fortress”, “Photographer”), reportage photo by Alexey Smyshlyaev (“Delovoy Peterburg”, “Smena”, “Izvestiya”), screenwriting from Natalya Nazarova (“Fool,” “Grandson of  astronaut” “Listening to the Silence”).

 

A seminar for teachers of media studios in Krasnoyarsk Territory was held for the second time.

Our guest and participants shared their experiences, trained to video edit and to create a photo signature.

Their educational classes were supplemented by Jam-session. Faire-Show, Evening Exertion around the City AutoTAZ- Races, etc.

At the closing ceremony the winners were awarded with the symbol of the festival made Vasily Slonov, a Russian painter. It became interesting to come at the festival from other cities. A participant can for first place in the competition, also be involve in various art and culture programs running.

 

The Seventh Festival will be held in 2014 and will focus on creativity as a way of life and the basis of any media activities.
